this is good hip-hop. rap is different. there is a thin line between the 2 but in order to understand them you must look deeper than what sells & doesnt. examine lyrics: metaphores, similes, content, word play, substance, & most of all CREATIVITY! not jus iLL beats, sick break downs, and catchy hooks.
BTW Soulja Boy took the rhyme scheme from a childrens rhyme: Eenie, Meenie, Miny, Moe.

Hip hop isnt music. Its a lifestyle. Its composed of four elements. BBOY, DJNG, TAGGING, and RAPPING. Bboys are all about snapping now which is a bunch of bull. Bring back the windmills and airflares!! Djng is now done with computers which beat juggles and scratches are 90% of the time pre-recorded. TAGGING has always remained underground because you DONT want to be famous and be locked up. And Rap has changed from fun to income. The record labels influence on hip-hop has changed it so much its not even hip-hop anymore. Would you put Pink Floyd and Fallout boy in the same category becasue they are both bands which play music and sing? Would you put Tupac and Souljah Boy in the same category cuz they both rap.
