MIAMI -- Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte' Stallworth will be charged with DUI manslaughter after a Miami car crash that killed a pedestrian, according to people familiar with the case.

Two people with knowledge of the case said on condition of anonymity that the charges will be filed Wednesday against Stallworth in the March 14 accident that killed 59-year-old Mario Reyes. The people requested anonymity because the charges haven't been announced.

The charge carries a possible 15-year prison sentence.

Stallworth, 28, earlier released a statement saying he was "grief-stricken" over the accident.

Stallworth signed a seven-year, $35 million contract with the Browns before last season but was injured much of the year. He previously played for the New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints.

The Browns are victims of serious neglect. Instead of trading DA for a 1st and a 3rd Savage had the illusion that he is something other than a turnover machine. Who cares if the ball was picked off and now the other team is scoring, did you see how far he threw it?
Draft picks may have helped the D, which was the big problem over the last few years.
