 Nelly was punched in the face after becoming embroiled in a bust-up between his bodyguards and bouncers at a pre-Super Bowl gig on Friday.
According to The New York Post, Nelly arrived at the Liv nightclub in Miami, Florida to perform a set for VIPs at a party before Sunday's big game between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts but the pre-celebrations turned nasty after the star's personal security got involved in a fracas with the club's doormen, which ended in Nelly being accidentally punched.
A source tells the publication, "His (Nelly) security appeared to get into an argument with the hotel's security staff. Nelly got in the middle and got punched by mistake. Then it spilled out of the back door and continued outside."
