Joe Budden To Inspectah Deck: "I'm going to tear him up for fun" PDF Print E-mail

A full-fledged lyrical feud has broken out between Inspectah Deck of the Wu Tang Clan and Joe Budden, who now represents for Slaughterhouse.

While Budden has yet to respond in song, Deck has released a song called “House N***a,” where he proclaims “the war is on.”

The lyrical beef is a result of Joe Budden expressing that he was a greater emcee than Method Man in a tourney of the best rappers alive by now-defunct Vibe magazine.

"When I first heard the Inspectah Deck s**t I thought it was weak but I said, 'Aight I'm going to tear him up for fun," Budden said on BlogTV, a site he uses for live video blogging. "I just wish somebody else would've responded, not him... Me and Raekwon talked it out, me and Busta Rhymes already spoke. Now here you come...”

Budden didn’t say that he would definitely respond, but he did sent some barbed words for Deck.

“While Inspectah Deck may be considered a legend for the one great verse he had in his 30 year career, it's 2009...We'll see how it all plays out. We gotta see how it goes down when I get into the studio,” Budden continued. “He should be dissing RZA for not paying him. When Saigon dissed me, my next dis track was the fact that I got paid from his dis track. I don't think people really use their heads. He rapped on 'Pump It Up.' Me and Just [Blaze] got paid for it."

On the song, Deck admits to defending Method Man, who refused to entertain a battle with Budden.

On his blog, Budden suggested that he may use the feud to push his Slaughterhouse album with Crooked I, Royce Da 5’ 9” and Joell Ortiz.

“Honestly, dude ain't worth responding to... But I DO have an album coming out.. Mite be buzzworthy to cook dude.. We'll see,” Budden wrote.

I'm sick of Joe Budden, he JUST dropped 2 bullshit projects that didn't score well ANYWHERE (Halfway House & Padded Room), and he's already working on his next coaster. He's a certified clown, and SlaughterHouse was the best thing to happen to him (especially considering Royce didn't have to END his career, which was seriously about to happen). Just my 2-cents though

joe is cool but not cool enough to really be going at every one so hard. i mean i heard his record it was ok. too many words. and when i say that it not really about the number of words just like talking to hear him self talk "too many words". JOEY... Bullsh*t albums?. I agree that Padded Room is his weakest album, but Halfway House was one of the craziest albums put out last year... this dude raps with a chip on his shoulder and would love to hear him tear up INS the Rebel... Meth? the reason why he wont battle him cuz he knows his time is up.. Meth hasn't put a real nice track since Dangerous Ground (first track that comes to mind)... I represent wu to the fullest from a 12 year old kid, then copped as much wu wear and wu-labiees as possible, until the iron flag album... i respect wu for what they have done to the game, brought out Ghost, Rae, RZA... one thing that you do have to remember, commercialism doesn't always mean success... Meth became the gimmick rapper that he portrayed on the screen...

I don't get it Joey is right. When was the last time someone brought a Method Man album? 420 was good but what about all those wack Tical named albums? Prequel, 2001, etc. Shit LL is a legend but nobody is checking for him (check is last two albums).

Lets be real. Wu-Tang is one of if not the greatest hip-hop group of all time. But individually the only one in the group that is consistant is Ghost.

PLus all these wrappers complaining are pussy. THink about it....they talk back when underground artist joe budden said it on a video blog. WHen NYC DJ FUnk Master Flex said on live radio in one of the biggest cities in the world that Method Man was overratted no body said shit. Why? you gotta be blind not to see what is going on here. selling records is about marketing - neither of these two got it and any publicity is good publicity, especially with the music industry in the state it is now. joe budden is a decent rapper, and with good production he sounds good (see his first album). respect due to inspectah deck for what he was part of, but lyrically he's not seeing joe budden. neither of these dudes is selling records, so they taking shots at other rappers to create a buzz.

I aint a fanboy for anyone, but joe's padded room was straight raw. Rawer than anything Deck has put out in a long ass time(minus chamber music, havent peeped it yet). In fact it may have been a classic, so much hidden meaning and replay value.

Deck is a legend, and deserves his respect. But that nigga is coming at joe, so dont go talkin shit for someone defending themselves. He never should have got involved in the first place.
